A Race to Raise Organ Donor Awareness
Palm Beach Gardens, FL Every day, 19 people in the United States die from the lack of available organs for transplant. The Bob Swanson Give A Life Foundation has partnered with the South Florida Science Museum, Florida’s Blood Centers, and The Gardens Mall to present the 4th Annual Give A Life Foundation 5K Run/Walk.
Running for charity has become a popular fundraising vehicle, so on April 25, runners will gather in honor of the cause. The Gardens Mall is proud to host the Bob Swanson Give A Life Foundation 5K Run/Walk. The Gardens Mall recognizes the vital role the Give A Life Foundation plays in the community educating the public about organ and tissue donation.
Ron Walker, a double heart transplant recipient and runner, is the honoree of this year’s fourth annual 5K run/walk, which will begin at 7:30 a.m. in The Gardens Mall parking lot. To preregister at $25 for the run/walk, visit givealife.org or pay $30 on-site. Registration and check-in begins at 6:30 a.m.
