First Day Fits | Instagram Challenge

The Gardens Mall is challenging kids, teens, and college students to show off their back-to-school style in its first-ever “First Day ’Fits” Instagram challenge. From August 1 to August 30, shoppers are challenged to style and share their favorite first-day-of-school look by retailers from The Gardens Mall for the opportunity to win a $500 mall gift card.

To enter, shoppers simply need to:

  • Create a complete, first-day-of-school look using fashion items from The Gardens Mall’s retailers (department stores are excluded, which include Macy’s, Saks Fifth Avenue, Bloomingdale’s, and Nordstrom).
  • During the month of August, post a photo or video of the outfit on Instagram detailing the items from each store. The deadline for posting is August 30 at 11:59 p.m. EDT.
  • Entrants must indicate their category in the Instagram caption. Categories are Kids (elementary and middle school students), Teens (high school students), and College Students (currently enrolled in a college, university, or trade school).
  • Tag @thegardensmall and include the hashtags #FirstDayFits and #TheGardensMall in the social media post.

One winner will be selected at random from each category: kids, teens, and college students. Each winner will receive a $500 mall gift card to continue building their wardrobe for the school year.

Winners will be announced in early September on The Gardens Mall’s Instagram page, @thegardensmall.
